Driver of ute sought after crash

POLICE were yesterday seeking a woman who crashed a ute into a power pole in Concord yesterday morning and then drove away.

Sergeant Keith Braithwaite, of Dunedin, said a witness saw a blue Nissan ute hit the pole in Mulford St about 7.40am, but did not see the number plate.

The driver was described as a woman in her 40s, of solid build, he said.

Police were appealing for information from anyone who saw the crash or had information about the driver.
