Trio on terrorism charges

Melbourne: Three men will stand trial on terrorism charges after denying they firebombed an Islamic prayer centre in Melbourne during an alleged Isisinspired attack.

The trio appeared in the Melbourne Magistrates Court this week for a pretrial committal hearing on charges they destroyed Fawkner’s Imam Ali Islamic Centre for ideological reasons.

It is alleged they caused $1.59 million worth of damage using petrol and tyres to start the blazes. — AAP
