Anthony Ritchie asks if composing music is research in his inaugural professorial lecture at the University of Otago, 364 Leith Walk, Tuesday. Prof Ritchie is professor of composition at the university’s department of music, theatre and performing arts and has composed more than 200 pieces in a career that includes 18 years teaching at Otago.
