Mixed fortunes for sides

Hockey: The Southern sides had mixed starts to the National under18 championships at the McMillan centre in Dunedin yesterday.

The girls team lost 80 to Central while the boys side drew 33 before losing 42 in the shootout.

The tournament goes all week. The finals will be played on Saturday.
