Twyford reinstated
Wellington: Transport Minister Phil Twyford has regained his responsibility for the Civil Aviation Authority following an announcement by the CAA yesterday that he had been fined $500 for breaching CAA rules.
Mr Twyford lost that responsibility when he reported himself to the CAA for using a mobile phone on a plane in breach of CAA rules in May.
Mr Twyford made a oneminute phone call to one of his staff while on a plane preparing for takeoff from Wellington airport on May 17. — NZME
