Gas leak at McDonald’s

THE North Dunedin McDonald’s restaurant was evacuated and closed for about an hour early yesterday after a gas leak.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said firefighters attended after an alarm activation at 12.15am and found a carbon dioxide leak.

A McDonald’s spokesman said a small gas leak was located and fixed, allowing the restaurant to reopen around an hour later.
