Snow day

A partnership setween Wanaka trust Kahu Youth and ski fields Cardrona and Qnow Farm has given some young people the opportunity to enjoy a day on the slopes without taking a financial hit.

Nine lucky youths took a trip up Cardrona on Wednesday and ‘‘had a great time’’, youth worker Claire French said.

It was the second year of Kahu Youth’s partnership with Cardrona, and next week others will have the chance to experience crosscountry skiing at Qnow Farm, she said.
