RADIATORS
Hotwater radiator systems using diesel or lpg boilers.
INFLOOR HEATING
Infloor hotwater heating systems using boilers, as above, or Daikin hotwater heatpumps. These systems can also heat hot water for taps and showers.
DUCTED HEATING
Ducted central heating is a popular option and costs less to install than a hotwater system. Ducted heatpump systems offer the lowest running cost and can be installed in new or existing homes. Ducted is also popular in some commercial applications. Systems can be installed underfloor or through the ceiling, and, when sized and installed correctly, give a high level of comfort.
HEATPUMPS
Daikin has a full range of singleroom units, which is now the most popular method of heating in both domestic and commercial situations.
Davies Heat ’n’ Cool, which specialises in Daikin, has all models on display in its showroom in Donald St, Kaikorai Valley. The Cora model, with the latest refrigerant, has been available for more than 18 months and has proved popular due to its rapid heating ability, high efficiency, and ability to operate in low exterior temperatures.
Also introduced is the stylish new Zena and the new energystarrated floor units, and the latest Nexura, which can radiate heat off the front. The Nexura is stylish, superquiet when on radiant heat, and delivers the highest level of comfort. Like all Daikin floor units, the Nexura can be recessed back into the wall.
All of the single Daikin units can be set to run as low as 10degC, allowing them to be left on for extended periods, keeping the office or home warm, and requiring little energy to increase the room temperature as desired. Units also have simple 24hour timers or programmable sevenday timers. Davies Heat ’n’ Cool offers finance options through Q Card, with some interestfree options.
HEATRECOVERY SYSTEMS
Davies Heat ’n’ Cool offers a range of ventilation heatrecovery units, which can be used in commercial or domestic applications, where people want a warm dry environment without a large running cost. Air is delivered to an area and the exhausting air preheats the incoming fresh air in the unit’s heatrecovery unit. The company has installed several heatrecovery systems in passiveenergy houses, with Zehnder one of the most popular options.
All systems supplied and installed by the company’s experienced technicians have a 60day moneyback performance guarantee, and the added assurance of a full backup inhouse service department staffed by its qualified HVAC engineers.
Davies Heat ’n’ Cool also repairs and maintains all types of systems, as above, for all brands, plus coal and woodfired boilers in both commercial and domestic settings.
Regular cleaning and maintenance contracts are offered for heatpumps, with domestic heatpumpcleaning and servicing a speciality.
