Haere mai and welcome to Logan Park High School

- — Kristan Mouat and Peter Hills, coprincipals

LOGAN Park High School is a school unlike any other. There is no secret to its success. Learning is the focus, and rather than running an education production line, they inspire individuals.

The school is in the business of growing young people. Their talented staff are able to ensure that all students discover the necessary knowledge and skills to place them confidently on the road to becoming successful lifelong learners. Teaching methods are based on evidence and research and the impressive results speak for themselves.

Logan Park High School has a welldeserved reputation for being the premier hub of creativity in the Dunedin secondary education sphere. It is certainly true that a disproportionate number of the city’s high achievers in every field, whether academic, creative, sporting, leadership, or service, have been fostered and nurtured by the dynamic, supportive, and ‘‘blue sky’’ thinking the school embodies and encourages.

Its students continue to excel in NCEA qualifications. In New Zealand’s premier academic 2017 exams, Logan Park High School students won 28 scholarships; more than any other school in Otago/Southland, and continuing a 25year tradition of excellent academic performance. In 2017, graduates won over $450,000 in university scholarships.

Exstudents have distinguished themselves in almost every area imaginable: medicine, law, film, theatre, gaming, programming, construction, sports, academia, trades, teaching, and marketing, to name a few.

Whether you are into art, chemistry, maths, languages, building, filmmaking, technology, drama, sports, or the environment, they will help design a course that challenges and excites you. Whether you struggle with reading and maths or are already a highflyer, the school will help you take your next steps.

Logan Park High School staff and students work hard, knowing the value of high expectations, discipline, and positive learning relationships. Every year they welcome new students at every level to join them.

They know that all students need to feel happy, safe, and to belong in order to flourish. The school works hard to create a caring, kind, and inclusive community where everyone can find their place, make good friends, and discover their potential.

Logan Park High School looks forward to welcoming you to their kura.

Nga mihi nui.
