Give Trump a break
I DON’T know about other readers, but I am starting to get annoyed at the daily, persistent negative comments about President Trump of the United States in the media, particularly on television.
Someone has aptly named this ‘‘Trump Derangement Syndrome’’. After all, he was elected president by due process, and I would have thought that if a politician reflects the views of the group of the population he represents, it should be considered as normal behaviour for a politician.
Why can’t Mr Trump try to make friends with China or Russia or anyone else he chooses and try to persuade North Korea to shed its nuclear arsenal without having to resort to a war? Why can’t he regulate entry of aliens into US?
Does he have to blindly believe that global warming is entirely due to human activity and nothing else?
Why can’t he pay for any favours received from any call girls so long as it is mutually acceptable contract between both parties?
Who appointed the media as the moral guardians of the world?
It is time that the media demonstrate less of Trump hatred and concentrate on issues such as the sufferings of the people in the Middle East or the poverty in Africa or the plastic pollution of the high seas. Mathew Zacharias
