A Jaynie Laureen Craig (40), employed, of Invercargi­ll, drinkdrivi­ng, 887mcg (random breath test; stated had consumed red wine, rum and beer), Kaitangata, about 1.50am, September 16, fined $700, court costs $130, disqualifi­ed 28 days, then alcohol interlock licence provisions.

A Jonathan Dean Sarginson (50), employed, drinkdrivi­ng, 600mcg (random breath test; said just needed to get home), Arthur St, about 12.35am, September 15, fined $600, court costs $130, disqualifi­ed six months.

A Robert William Lindsay (18), kitchen hand, of Dunedin, drinkdrivi­ng under 20, 292mcg (in collision in which not at fault, when spoken to by police admitted had consumed alcohol, said thought OK to drive but knew shouldn’t have), about 5.45pm, September 15, fined $400, court costs $130, disqualifi­ed three months. Counsel Steve Turner said Lindsay had stopped drinking some hours before.

Judge told him ‘‘last opportunit­y to have any form of communityb­ased sentencing option’’.
