Housing and migration

-

THE housing shortage will stop if we halt immigration immediately. We are overflowing with people!

The more who come here, the more houses are needed.

It’s logical — common sense should prevail. We cannot cope with any more people — stop now. And in another 10 years’ time, things may settle down.

The schools are full up and the hospitals are having difficulty coping with the number of people.

The number of refugees coming here should never have been increased because how are we going to cope?

Please Government, listen.

Do the right thing.

MAYOR Cull has been going on about housing lately, quote: ‘‘A critical issue for Otago and Dunedin too, add huge waiting lists for social housing and we have the perfect housing storm. Throughout Otago families are living in squalid, unhealthy situations.’’

Yet Mr Cull wants more people to come here and puts his hand up for more refugees.

Are these refugees going into houses before New Zealanders waiting on accommodation?

Mr Cull was voted in to look after Dunedin citizens as mayor.
