DCC’s parking policy continues to defy logic

-

I DON’T understand the logic of our elected councillors. Let’s do away with all free parking!

Where are workers supposed to park? I am sure the councillors won’t have to scramble for a park. I presume their car parks will not be affected. Not everyone lives on a bus route or has colleagues or neighbours whom they can car share with. It is obvious the people who make these decisions do not live in the real world.

Dunedin needs more car parking not less and we need to be able to park without being ripped off by private car parks.

If councillors really feel there is a problem, try and resolve it reasonably without again hurting the ratepayers with harebrained ideas that will not benefit anyone. Ann Galloway

I LOOK forward to observing our mayor, councillors and Mr Sanders using public transport or car pooling.

After all, they should practise what they preach.

Maybe they should be offering incentives to use our buses, not wasting money on a bus hub. Denise Head
