Skyline Enterprises wins ‘large business’ award

- SIMON HARTLEY

QUEENSTOWNFOUNDED tourism company Skyline Enterprises was among the big winners of the 2018 New Zealand International Business Awards for exporters last night in Auckland.

Skyline Luge International, of Queenstown, won the ANZ Best Large Business category, while the Supreme Award, from all the category winners, went to Canterburybased software developer Seequent, which earlier won ANZ Best Medium Business.

Skyline, a tourism pioneer since 1966, won because of significant offshore investments, its strategic focus, phenomenal growth and significant revenue, judge Gavin Haworth said.

In addition to luge rides in Queenstown and Rotorua, Skyline has spread to six international locations and the judges were impressed with its largescale international tourism facilities and ambition in markets as diverse as South Korea, Taiwan, Singapore and the UK. Other winners. —
