Dunedin’s champion bugler

A bugle competition, open to all buglers in the British forces, took place in France on August 2. There were a large number of entries and the winner was found in Bugler Leslie Napier, of the New Zealand Expeditionary

Force. The successful New Zealander is the son of Mr A. Napier, Mornington, Dunedin, and as a boy was bugler at the Mornington School. — ODT, 9.11.1918.
