Dunedin’s champion bugler

A bugle competitio­n, open to all buglers in the British forces, took place in France on August 2. There were a large number of entries and the winner was found in Bugler Leslie Napier, of the New Zealand Expedition­ary

Force. The successful New Zealander is the son of Mr A. Napier, Mornington, Dunedin, and as a boy was bugler at the Mornington School. — ODT, 9.11.1918.
