TURIN: Two goals in three minutes allowed Manchester United to come from behind to stun Juventus 21 in an actionpacked Champions League clash in Turin yesterday.

Juventus appeared headed for victory when striker Cristiano Ronaldo scored in the 65th minute, but Juan Mata’s leveller (86th) followed by Alex Sandro’s 89thminute own goal upset the hosts.

After the final whistle, United boss Jose Mourinho marched on to the Turin pitch and cupped his ear towards the Juventus crowd, which resulted in deafening jeers from the home fans.

The victory took the Red Devils to second in Group H with seven points, with Valencia two points behind in third after the Spanish club beat Young Boys 31.

Mata, whose superb freekick brought United back into the contest, could not hide his delight.

‘‘What a nice last five minutes. It is a very, very good night for us to win here today. To get the three points against Juventus in Italy is amazing,’’ Mata told BT Sport 2.

‘‘It was a very difficult game. They push a lot, they have fantastic players, they are a top team, but in the last two chances we have, we score.

‘‘It was a great pass from [Leonardo] Bonucci and great finish from Cristiano [for Juven tus’ opening goal]. After that they had two or three clear chances to kill the game, but they didn’t, and in the last five minutes we came back and game over.’’
