Fatality in Waikato

Hamilton: A driver died after his car hit a power pole in the Hauraki district in Waikato on Saturday night.

The driver was the sole occupant when the vehicle crashed shortly after 10pm in Kaiaua.

A police investigation is under way and the serious crash unit has examined the scene.
