Wood stars for England
Cricket: Mark Wood picked up his first fivewicket haul to bowl England into a commanding position on the second day of the third test against the West Indies yesterday.
Wood showed genuine pace of more than 145kmh to take five for 41 as the home side was bowled out for 154 to give England a 123run first innings lead at Darren Sammy Stadium, in Gros Islet, St Lucia. Spinner Moeen Ali chimed in with four for 36.
England was 19 without loss in its second innings at the close, an overall lead of 142 runs on an eventful day on which 16 wickets fell.
