Driver three times limit
DUNEDIN police nabbed a driver allegedly travelling at twice the speed limit through the city on Sunday while more than three times over the legal breathalcohol limit.
Senior Sergeant Craig Dinnissen, of Dunedin, said the man was seen driving his Toyota Caldina at 100kmh in the north end of George St about 8pm.
Officers pulled him over, near Warrender St.
The 26yearold recorded a breathalcohol reading of 848mcg, more than three times the legal limit of 250mcg.
He would appear in the Dunedin District Court charged with dangerous driving and drinkdriving, Snr Sgt Dinnissen said.
