Advance NZ case rejected

ADVANCE NZ’s court case over not being included in a television debate has been rejected.

New Zealand First, the Green Party, Act New Zealand and the Maori Party will feature in a debate on October 3 focusing on the political parties that could be in a position to help National or Labour form a government after the election.

A High Court judge yesterday declined their application for an injunction, saying he was not persuaded the criteria applied by MediaWorks for selecting participants was unreasonable or arbitrary.

He reserved judgement over costs. — RNZ
