Driver was swigging wine

A woman seen swigging from a bottle of wine while driving along a Dunedin road has been charged.

The 48yearold was driving along Portobello Rd at 9.50am on Thursday, Acting Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond said.

Police caught up with the woman in town, where she recorded a breathalcohol level of 202mcg. She was on a zeroalcohol licence.

She has been charged with drink driving and will appear in court on Tuesday.
