Eyecatching work
Laura ThomsonBache admires the winning image by Karen RankinNeal at the Hope and Sons Art Awards. The 12th exhibition, which is held every two years, is at the Dunedin Railway Station for the next two months and the art is for sale. Organiser Jodie Hope says more than 300 pieces were entered and 168 were chosen for display by artist and judge Sam Foley. They range from classical to contemporary and come from throughout the South Island. Proceeds go to the artists and the Otago Art Society.
