Homicide suspected

Auckland: A man was killed in the South Auckland suburb of Manurewa on Saturday night, and police are treating the case as a homicide.

Emergency services were called to Jellicoe Park shortly after 11pm after attempts to revive an unresponsive man had proved unsuccessful, police said.

Acting Detective Inspector Warrick Adkin said that while no arrests had been made, the public was not at risk.
