Funding granted for hut

Wanaka: The Snow Farm’s new community and schools’ hut planned for Tranquility Basin was the biggest winner in the latest round of the Otago Community Trust grants announced yesterday.

The 36bunk ‘‘Musterer’s Hut’’, including classroom space, two kitchens, a utility shed and a toilet block, was awarded $140,000 towards its construction.

Snow Farm board chairman Samuel (Q) Belk said the Otago Community Trust funding was ‘‘a critical part of allowing us to continue to grow our service offerings’’.
