Festival for gastronomes

Wanaka: A new wine and food festival has been announced for Wanaka next year.

Otago Event Planning owner Nathan White, of Wanaka, said Ripe would celebrate the Central Otago viticulture industry and culinary scene.

“Our producers have a deep connection to the land and a passion for the product, and we want to celebrate this while bringing a muchneeded boost to the local economy,” Mr White said.

Ripe would be held on March 21 at Corbridge Estate.
