Two Dilworth accused named

AUCKLAND: Two of those charged with historical indecent assault linked to Auckland boys school Dilworth can be named.

Alister Grant Harlow (60) and Ian Robert Wilson (69) did not seek continued name suppressio­n in the Auckland District Court yesterday morning.

Harlow, an accountant who lives in Hillsborou­gh, pleaded not guilty to one count of indecent assault. Wilson, of Maraetai, is charged with indecently assaulting a boy under 16 on 12 separate occasions and of inducing a boy to do an indecent act.

Three others also appeared in court yesterday before Judge Claire Ryan. All were granted continued interim name suppressio­n until their next appearance in late November.

Two other people are expected to appear in court today.

All defendants face at least one charge of indecent assault. Other charges, which total more than 20 cumulative­ly, include sexual violation, sexual exploitati­on, doing an indecent act and supplying Class A, B and C drugs.

The charges span from the late 1970s through to the late 2000s.

All are remanded on bail. — RNZ

WELLINGTON: A carpart supplier is alleged to have sold nongenuine parts as genuine to vehicle repairers, prompting an investigat­ion by insurers.

Insurance Council of New Zealand chief executive Tim Grafton said its members had recently been made aware of the issue.
