OOPS, I misread the headline ‘‘Collins targets ‘stupider stuff’’’

(ODT, 25.9.20). What, I wondered, did she have in mind as she plans to develop more stupid stuff?

READING this morning’s sports section (ODT, 25.9.20), I note in the ‘‘In brief’’ section on page 7, ‘‘Club manager fined’’ that Mr Bilic was fined £8000

(NZ$15.6 million). I feel the conversion is somewhat overstated!

A GOOD friend of mine suggested the Government purchase Countdown Central opposite the Cadbury building site. This would give ample parking for nurses, staff and family visitors. The premises could be put to good use, I’m sure, by the hospital.

YES, J.R. Bennett (Letters, 2.10.20), I am now bothered by the white eggbrown egg debate. It’s true that in Canada I grew up with white eggs, and brown eggs were considered a rarity and healthier. What a debacle to ignore the excellent and jumbosized eggs from a white hen to the extent of extinction.
