Joshua Craig McIntosh (36), driver, of Dunedin, drinkdriving, 451mcg (alcohol checkpoint; driving work van; said consumed a rigger of beer earlier that day after his previous night shift), Cumberland St, about 11.10pm, September 27, fined $450, court costs $130, disqualified six months. McIntosh not previously before the court.

Mahia Vaine Tahiri (29), freezing worker, of Dunedin, driving while licence suspended (given threemonth suspension for excess demerit points midAugust), South Rd, about 11.45pm, August 24, 90 hours’ community work, disqualified one year and one day (from November

16). Tahiri previously convicted of driving while suspended.
