Urban food farm pledge
Auckland: The Greens are promising to invest in urban food farms in places such as Auckland city centre, if elected.
As part of its agriculture policy, the party said it would provide $10 million a year to support community gardens and composting initiatives.
The announcement was made at an urban farm on Auckland’s Symonds St.
Green Party Auckland Central candidate Chloe Swarbrick said it would be sensible to turn the extension of Albert Park — cut off by Bowen Rd — into an urban farm for all to enjoy. — RNZ
