Ko tied for third at PGA Championship

Golf: Lydia Ko is tied for third after the opening round of the third women’s major of the year.

The New Zealander fired a 2underpar 68 at the PGA Championship in Pennsylvania and is one shot behind coleaders American Brittany Lincicome and Kelly Tan, of Malaysia.

Meanwhile, Ryan Fox is in a tie for eighth, two shots off the lead after firing a 4under 68 in the first round of the European PGA Championship at Wentworth in England. Englishman Tyrrell Hatton, South African Justin Harding and Spaniard Adri Arnaus share the lead at 6 under par. — RNZ
