Twoup players caught
A twoup school at Wallacetown came to an abrupt close on Saturday afternoon (states the Southland Times) when Constables Thompson and Fulton, who had been watching the game unobserved, intercepted and took the names and addresses of five men who had been participating in the game. A further raid was made upon some premises in Invercargill city yesterday morning, with the result that the two of the men who had been apprehended at Wallacetown on the previous day were again caught taking part in a game of twoup. Two other men were also caught and will appear before the court in due course. — ODT, 12.10.1920.
