Beer festival planned

Wanaka: Beer festival events for up to 2000 people are being planned for a 12ha site in the Three Parks subdivision.

A resource consent application has been made to the Queenstown Lakes District Council.

Organisers are seeking approval for an event on the afternoon of the first Saturday of December for the next five years, with the Sunday as reserve day. It would include 14 beer vendors plus one wine, one spirit and five food vendors.
