Fire at Cadbury site
FIREFIGHTERS were called to the old Cadbury site in central Dunedin yesterday after a small fire broke out in demolition equipment. Demolition is under way at the site to make way for the new Dunedin Hospital.
A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said crews from Dunedin, Lookout Point, Willowbank and St Kilda were called to the scene at 2.07pm.
A small fire was located in a filter bag in equipment used in the demolition of the building.
It was extinguished with a single hose in the building, the spokesman said.
