Police action continues

Paris: More police operations were under way yesterday in connection with the beheading of French teacher Samuel Paty by a suspected Islamist, French Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin said.

Darmanin said about 80 investigations were under way into online hate speech in France and he was looking into whether certain groups from the French Muslim community should be dissolved following accusations of promoting violence and hate.

A police source said France was preparing to expel 231 foreigners on a government watch list for suspected extremist religious beliefs. — Reuters
