Police seize many guns
Auckland: Police have seized dozens of firearms from a property on the North Shore and charged two people.
Two search warrants were carried out in Wairau Valley last Friday after an investigation into firearms and drug offending.
Police found 25 firearms of various calibres, including a large number of prohibited militarystyle semiautomatic firearms, a shotgun and a pistol at one of the properties.
Boxes of ammunition and methamphetamine were also found.
A large amount of ammunition was also found at the second property as well as more than 50 cannabis plants.
Two 54yearold men are due to appear in court on a range of firearms and drugs charges. — RNZ
