Kavanagh College

Kavanagh College competed in the annual coed sports tournament at the end of last term and finished second equal. Congratulations to Bayfield High School for winning the trophy for the first time. The coed schools sports tournament was an excellent day with lots of close games and excellence sportsmanship shown.

The school also held its swimming sports on the last day of term three, and there are lots of excellent swimmers at the college, the obvious standout being Erika Fairweather. Meg and Emma Christophers also swam very well on the day.

During the holidays, the boys’ and girls’ basketball teams were away at tournaments in Christchurch and both teams performed creditably, gaining a lot from the experience. Thanks to Nat Visger, Wendy Blackford,
