Leader vote postponed

Berlin: The executive committee of German Chancellor Angela Merkel’s Christian Democrats has decided to postpone a party congress planned for December 4 to elect a new leader, secretarygeneral Paul Ziemiak said yesterday.

The committee agreed it could not hold the meeting in the middle of the coronavirus pandemic.
