Brownlee question mark
Wellington: A major question mark remains over the future of National deputy leader Gerry Brownlee, following the party's devastating election loss.
Mr Brownlee was the architect behind the party's chaotic campaign and also lost his longheld Ilam seat in Christchurch on election night.
When asked yesterday whether Mr Brownlee would remain as her deputy leader, National leader Judith Collins would not be pressed on her preference, saying it was a matter for the caucus.
Mr Brownlee did not expressly say he wanted to stay on in the role, also saying it was a matter for caucus to decide. — RNZ
