Not guilty plea

Auckland: A man accused of killing a baby boy in Manurewa last month has pleaded not guilty.

Poseidyn HemopoPickering was taken from a house in Manurewa to Starship Hospital in early September but died the next day.

The 10monthold baby’s father, Anthony Simon Pickering (31), has since been charged with manslaughter.

He pleaded not guilty to the charge in the High Court at Auckland yesterday and will go to trial in October next year. — RNZ
