Car found in lake
THIS is how a car was found by police, submerged in Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown yesterday. Police were called to the partially submerged vehicle off Frankton Beach just after 3pm.
A police spokeswoman said officers found a ‘‘distressed’’ woman by the car, who was arranging for a friend to collect her and to tow the car.
It was being treated as a traffic incident.
The car was removed and no arrests were made.
