Thomas strikes for Dutch club

Football: All Whites midfielder Ryan Thomas has scored his first goal of the season in Dutch football.

Thomas scored PSV Eindhoven’s third goal in its 40 win over ADO Den Haag.

He finished cleverly from the edge of the box after being teed up by United States midfielder Richard Ledezma, who was making his debut.

It was Thomas’ sixth league appearance of the new season, but in an unfamiliar position.

He filled in at right back in the absence of Denzel Dumfries, one of nine PSV players unavailable for selection after testing positive for Covid19.
