Hitandrun bicycle incident

DUNEDIN police are looking for a hitandrun driver after male cyclist was struck at a roundabout in Musselburgh Rise about 10am on Monday.

The driver of the car that hit the cyclist did not stop, but Acting Senior Sergeant Anthony Bond yesterday said that police knew the number plate of the car involved and would be following that up.

Police would also be obtaining video footage from an EnviroWaste truck present at the crash.

A 40yearold cyclist received minor injuries, Acting Snr Sgt Bond said.
