Garage fire extinguished

Invercargill: Three fire crews were called to a garage in flames yesterday.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said they were called to the blaze in Grey St about 12.50pm.

Three crews, two from the Invercargill station and one from Kingswell, brought the blaze under control, he said.

Two crews stayed at he scene to make sure the fire in the 6m by 6m garage was fully extinguished.

A fire investigator was called to the site to determine the cause of the blaze.

Noone was injured in the fire, the spokesman said.
