Grave injuries in attack

-

Auckland: A 28yearold man is on life support after a violent attack at a West Auckland bar.

Surgeons have removed half of his skull to relieve pressure on his brain but his head injury is so severe it is unlikely he will survive after what is said to be an unprovoked attack at a bar on Friday.

Police have arrested a 38yearold man who is due to appear in the Waitakere District Court today, charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.

Further charges and arrests were likely. — The New Zealand Herald
