Heat goes on

THE heat is returning to the South Island this week.

Daytime highs through Central Otago will be 27degC for Alexandra and Cromwell by tomorrow, weatherwatch. co.nz forecasts.

Some areas may even reach 30degC. The heat will extend through other inland parts of the South Island.

Parts of Northern Southland will be in the low to mid 20s tomorrow, with highs of at least 25degC possible.
