Councillors to discuss DIA report

Invercargill: The Invercargill City Council will hold an extraordinary meeting today to consider the findings of a monthslong independent governance review.

Independent evaluator Richard Thomson was called in after the Department of Internal Affairs launched an investigation in August in response to concerns raised about the performance of elected representatives.

Councillors have received the report, but declined to comment on it yesterday.

The publicexcluded meeting is set to start at 6pm.
