Clifden: Police are appealing for sightings of a vehicle after a home invasion at Eastern Bush near Clifden.

The victim was not injured in the incident yesterday, but was being offered support.

Detective Sergeant David Kennelly, of Invercargill, said police wanted to hear from anyone who saw a vehicle similar to an older model blue Ford Courier or Mazda Bounty, ‘‘with possibly a raised suspension, mud tyres, roof racks and a snorkel’’.

The vehicle was seen near the Eastern Bush area about 9.30pm.

Police would also like to speak to people from two vans at the Clifden Caves about the time of the incident, Det Sgt Kennelly said.
