First female GM appointed
Baseball: The Miami Marlins hired Kim Ng as Major League Baseball's first female general manager on Saturday.
``I entered Major League Baseball as an intern and, after decades of determination, it is the honour of my career to lead the Miami Marlins as their next general manager,'' Ng said in a statement.
Ng (51) has more than 30 years of experience in the majors, working in the front offices of the Chicago White Sox (199096), New York Yankees (19982001) and Los Angeles Dodgers (200211), and in the MLB Commissioner's Office (201120). — Field Level Media
