Northlake appeal granted
THE Court of Appeal has granted Northlake Investments Ltd’s application to appeal its District Court conviction for discharging contaminated water into the Clutha River from its subdivision in Wanaka in August 2017.
The application was heard by three judges on September 30.
The company’s previous appeal to the High Court was rejected.
Northlake’s contractor Civil Construction Ltd pleaded guilty to the contamination charge.
