Murder charge laid

Auckland: A man has been charged with murder after the death of a man in West Auckland on Thursday night.

He was provided with medical assistance but died at the scene.

The alleged offender (39) was arrested after being spotted by an offduty officer yesterday morning.

He appeared in the Waitakere District Court yesterday and was granted interim name suppression and remanded in custody without plea.

He will appear in the

High Court at Auckland on December 2.
